CTET 2018 eligibility considerations depend on the class/standard for which aspirants are applying for.
Minimum CTET Requirements for Primary Phase Teacher
Applicants need to meet the below mentioned eligibility criteria for CTET examination if they want to become a teacher for Class I-V.
Completed Senior Secondary (or its parallel) with minimum 50% marks and also passed/appearing in the final calendar year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by no matter what term recognized)
OR
Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with bare minimum 45% marks and also passed/appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by no matter what term is known), in keeping with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Process), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Completed Senior Secondary (or its equal) with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in last year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd).
OR
Completed Senior Secondary (or their equal) with minimum 50% marks as well as passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
Graduated and passed/appearing in last year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name recognized).
Minimum CTET Qualifications for Elementary Phase Teacher
Applicants need to fulfill the below-stated eligibility requirements for CTET examination if they want to turn out to be a teacher for Class VI-VIII.
Completed Graduation and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Completed Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (BEd) programme.
OR
Completed Graduation with minimum 45% marks as well as passed/appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (BEd), in line with the NCTE (Identification Norms and Procedure) Rules issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and also passed/appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (BElEd).
OR
Completed Senior Secondary (or even their equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 4- year BA/BSc.Ed or BA.Ed/BSc.Ed.
OR
Completed Graduation with minimum amount 50% marks as well as passed/appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
Note:
Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled) will be presented relaxation of approximately 5% in the being approved marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for CTET eligibility.
Diploma/Degree Course in Teacher Education: When it comes to this Notification, a Diploma/Degree training course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) will only be regarded as. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and BED (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) just shall be considered.
Training to be undergone: A person with DEd (Special Education) or qualification shall undergo, after appointment, an NCTE recognized 6-month Special Programme in Elementary Education. The minimum amount .CTET 2018
Qualifications referred above affect teachers of Languages, Mathematics, Social Studies/Social Science, Science and so on. The minimum amount of certification norms for Physical Education instructors known in NCTE Regulation, dated November 3, 2001 (as amended from time to time) shall be applicable.
