SSC CGL is nearly all sought examination carried out by Staff Selection Commission. The examination is conducted in three phases-
Tier-I ( Preliminary )
Tier-II ( Main )
Tier-III ( Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test ( where ever applicable ) )
The other classification of jobs under SSC CGL exam is dependent on the job profile. Under this classification, there are 2 kinds of jobs-

Essential Qualifications for several posts -
I ) Assistant Audit Officer :
a ) Essential Certification: Bachelor's Degree from a well known University or Institute
b ) Desirable Certification: Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or even Masters in Business Studies or even a Masters in Business Administration ( Finance ) or Masters in Business Economics.
II ) Statistical Investigator Grade- II :
Bachelor's Degree in almost any subject from an acknowledged University or Institute with a minimum of 60% in Mathematics at 12th standard level :
OR
Bachelor's Degree in almost any subject with Statistics as being a single of the subjects at degree level.
III ) Compiler :
Bachelor's Degree from any specific recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as the compulsory or even Elective subject.
IV ) All the Posts: Bachelor's Degree from an acknowledged University or equivalent.
the Exam can be carried out in three tiers as mentioned below
1. Tier-I: This is a 75 minutes exam, having 100 queries & total 200 marks. For every correct answer, a student scores +2 marks and also for every wrong response, a penalty of -0 .50 is given. There is absolutely no penalty for not trying questions. The score obtained in Tier - I exam is included the last score to come to the merit list. You will discover four sections - Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and also General Awareness & each one section 25 questions.
2. Tier-I and Tier-II: Computer-Based Tests
3.Tier-II: You will discover four papers carried out in Tier-II Examination.
Paper- I Quantitative Abilities- 200 marks ( 100 Questions )
Paper-II English Language & Comprehension- 200 marks ( 200 questions ) .
Paper- III Statistics 200 marks ( 100Questions )
Paper-IV General Studies ( Finance and Economics ) - 200 Marks
For Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Paper- I, Paper-II and Paper-III are viewed for selection.
Assistant Audit Officer Group- B: Paper- I, Paper-II and Paper- IV are considered for selection.
For Other Posts: Only paper-I and Paper II are considered for choice.
4. Tier-II I: Instead of INTERVIEW, Tier-III ( of 100 marks ) continues to be inducted that should need applicants to write Essay/Precis/Letter /Application in either English or Hindi.
You will have no sectional cut-offs but an applicant will have to qualify almost all the 3 phases i .e. Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-II I.
